Have you ever noticed that nothing at the beach seems out of place? Walking back to the car from a relaxing day of sun and intermittent naps on the beach, I was simply looking around. The windy boardwalk dipped into a small valley and sand dunes suddenly rose to my left and right.

Shrubs, driftwood, beach plums, were scattered on the hillside in a chaotic pattern. It was so strange and yet not strange at all. Everything seemed to fit, to be in the right place. And the thing is, a hurricane could come and wash out that sand dune while creating another ten feet away, and still, everything would be in the right place.

The beach is strange like that. I love it.
