we can deal with the distance. we can keep hearts close through phone calls and messages. we can see each other daily with pictures and little reminders. we can still laugh at the inside jokes- oh there are so many. we can stay connected every day, every minute. it is what we do.


but hugs and the encouragement of another's presence is unique to visits and holidays.
