You are so nervous about an hour before you step onstage.. then it fades until suddenly, maybe a half an hour before you're due to go, it comes back without warning. And then, of and on... the butterflies wake up. But once you get out there.. and hold that microphone in your hand- it all melts away and you're home. The piano begins and you sing your heart out just like you know you can.

It's weird, to tell you the truth.
And very hard to describe.

All I can say is I had a frickin awesome time and am looking forward to tonight...
