You know you're a runner because:

you just got home from theater rehearsal and it's getting dark but you run anyway.

you still have an English paper to write after rehearsal and it's 5:00 but you go for a run anyway.

you know that you'll feel awesome after you run even though you realllly don't want to right now, and that's why you run anyway.

even though it's raining out, you remember past awesome runs in the rain and that helps with the motivation.

as soon as you get into your running attire, you suddenly need run.

as soon as you've stepped out the front door and you feel the cool spring breeze from your first steps, you remember why you run.

out on the road, everything else dissolves from your thoughts and all you can hear is the sound of the passing car tires swishing over shallow puddles.

after a few minutes of running in the drizzling rain, you completely forget that you are soaked and the fact that your mascara is probably smearing doesn't even enter your mind.

the rhythm just comes naturally on the road, on the trails, with the trees, and the occasional automobile, and it's there that you're home.

you run through the pain.

you don't care what you look like when you're running... and sometimes you look pretty darn bad.

when you see that hill up ahead, your legs automatically start to turn over... the will to conquer overpowers the fatigue.

when you are nearing the finish line, you want it so badly that you completely forget you have a nervous system and the legs and arms just move.

**after such a marvelous afternoon run in the rain, you feel the need to write a blogger about it.
