When I fall in love, I take my time.
No need to hurry when I'm making up my mind.

-Jason Mraz

I do, truly, wonder what love is like.
After watching, The Notebook, When Harry Met Sally, and now The Princess Diaries 2, it's difficult to think that I don't, and have never, had that. It's saddening too.

Love is a many splendid thing
Love lifts us up where we belong

-Moulin Rouge

And it really must be as great as all that- it must. Why else would it be the focus of so many work of art: movies, novels, songs, painting.. It has to be pretty great
or it would have died out by now. Don't you think?

And I'd swear I was falling,
Swear I was falling,
Why it's, almost like being in love.

-Natalie Cole

The most frustrating part is that we have no control over it. I firmly believe that you cannot be 'made' to love someone. You may be forced to marry and then become good friends- possibly fall in love eventually, but it happens on it's own.

So I guess I have to simply wait for my Noah, my Harry, or my Nicholas.
... and if I must, I must.

It is so beautiful, so exciting, this love, that I tremble on the verge of it; also it is the stupidest, the most barbaric of human passions.
from the dawn of time odes have been sung to love; and if you asked nine people out of ten they would say they wanted nothing but this- love;
there is nothing more tedioius, puerile, and inhumane than this; yet is also beautiful and necessary.

-To the Lighthouse, by Virginia Woolf
