I'll never understand it all for only God is God.

I heard that on the radio yesterday after I has just returned from a run. The truth in that statement struck and humbled me. This is one of two messages He has been sending me loud and clear this year:
1- For some things, I simply have to accept that I don't and won't ever rationally understand them.
2- I need to focus my energy and time on a few things, picking and choosing which gifts He would have me use for the time being.

Thanks, God. Those are two principles in my life that I'll always need reminders for.

I've also learned this year that I have the power of choice and that temptation is not greater than I am with Jesus at my side. Temptations that I never really identified as such until we saw a different sermon during Fellowship than we had intended. Oops- a mistake, we simply thought. But nothing is an accident- it's so amazing how He works.

Talk about an eventful and enlightening year. Thank you God.
