I just had the two most wonderful days off from work. Monday was full of fun activities with Mom: going to the dump and hoisting a dryer over a ledge into a big trailer, buying some delicious local produce, around the house clean up and then a great run and dinner just her and me. The evening brought quality time with another lovely lady among the streets of Boston. Quite a few streets, too. The after-daylight hours brought us around Newbury Street where we enjoyed some gourmet food and then trekked out to the BU area. We finally finished the soiree returning down Charles Street to home on Beacon Hill.

Tuesday was equally fulfilling although much less busy and with myself and some sunshine as the only company for the better part of the day. Lots of walking, once again, but entirely by choice this time. Instead of taking the T from Boylston to Lechmere then back to Charles Street, I opted to walk across the Charles River to Cambridge and drink in the perfect, sunny, summer afternoon.
.
The best part about these last two days was that which inspired my long walks on Tuesday.
Impeccable summer weather. Sunny and warm with a slight breeze so it never got too hot and blue skies that you gazed into as you drifted off to sleep on plush grass or a lazy chaise.
One of those days when you wonder how anything could be wrong in the world and how anyone could be unhappy.
