I ran a marathon. In Venice. Crossed the finish line hand in hand with the best person to have at my side, my mom. At 5h08 we conquered the 14th bridge and survived after only three, sort of, months of training, a 4:30am wake up, and two sleeps removed from a VERY stressful arrival to Venice. I'll take it.
Plus, it's just a springboard for the next one come spring. And the next one sometime after that. I thought I used to like running but it's taken on a whole new level. Racing against myself for 26.2 miles. I'm excited.
