I'm reading this book called The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical by Shane Claiborne and it's just great. The humor this author uses is convicting and hilarious. My recent favorite was during an anecdote where Claiborne is reflecting on his trip to Iraq. He is discussing some weakness of the American church when an Iraqi and fellow Christian points out that he is standing near the river where Jesus was baptized. He is in the land where it all began. Then he says:

"Christianity was not invented in America. How about that?" (Claiborne, 212)

great book! a friend lent it to me and it was a real eye-opener. talks about how we are supposed to be the catalysts of real social change from the bottom up - very convicting and encouraging at the same time
