I love home. I've spent the morning moving myself back into rooms with familiar walls and arranging my life on top of a very old carpet. I've ascended and descended the stairs that change direction in the middle countless times in the past three hours and I still make sure to keep my heels from the edge since I cut myself that way once. New stuff in an old place doesn't change it much.

Even I pass through the new kitchen to let my faithful dog in or out, to throw something in the recycling or to break for lunch, I am reminded where I am. It smells like the seashore. Not in a, living by the ocean and you catch the breeze at low tide sort of way, because in a we cleaned almost 80 sea clams at the kitchen sink over the past three days and everything now smells like sea clams kind of way. That sort of thing lingers. Love and sea clams are in my mind right now. I'm not in college anymore but I'm becoming more and more okay with that. Thank God, life is good.
