The large performance hall was happily filled with more people than we had expected. Lifting our voices in praise, we began the evening resounding our energy in melody. On fire for God, they call it. After a couple songs of worship, one of the pastors who first had the idea to unify the ministries in the area took the mic to share a few words. "When we first had this idea to unite the churches and ministries for an evening service once a month," he began, "The pastors all agreed that we would not take an offering for the host church. However, when we came togther last Friday to plan the rest of this calendar year, we decided that tonight- we would make an excepetion. And that tonight, we would ask all of you to support the young people who are here on this campus, serving the Lord."

After a few more words of encouragement towards us and of persuasion towards the body that had gathered there, he opened up the floor for people to walk down and contribute to our fellowship, our small group of only 30-40 people, simply trying to inform a campus of 10,000 that there is good news.

And in the next few moments after the pastor had finished speaking, I was more humbled than, I think, I have ever been. In the next few moments, almost every person in the great lecture hall stood up and walked down the stairs with an offering for us. I was speechless, grateful, astounded, and oh so very humbled. but at the same time empowered because
they helped to remind us that we do have a place on this campus.
We're spreading the good news.
