The stairwell is very quite at 1 o'clock in the morning... as it should be in any apartment building, I suppose. But not in a dorm at UMD.

Tonight I had to dry a few things before leaving for Paris tomorrow and by the time I realized they would not be dry by morning, it was 12:30am. Alright- no big deal. I've done laundry at crazy hours at school before. But no matter what hour I had to traverse the floors of Pine Dale or Chestnut, I would see at least a few others awake. Tonight, as I descended to the basement, it was silent. Not a word, not a sound. (Which is pretty typical for this building because no one besides us Americans has a roommate so people don't talk or even make noise when they're in their rooms.)

At 1:00am this morning, as I was walking down a few stairs, I was temporarily brought back to UMD and you know-- I'm really looking forward to being back there soon.

Are you crazy!?!! Two people in a single bed is not comfy, silly. But if we sneak our cradle-you-into-a-wonderful-slumber bed into you room, I'll think about it ;)
