It's been cloudy for quite a few days and usually, it's not a whole lot of fun when the cloud is black with all of that condensed water.

But today, today I was gleeful and it couldn't have happened without those ominous black clouds. This can only happen in the late afternoon or early evening when the sun is descending towards the horizon but is still brightly shining in the sky. Usually, a spell of thunderstorms or heavy rain showers has just passed and it's that crisp, clear, refreshing feeling outside. Then, a large break in the clouds lets sunshine pour through the dark blanket in the sky and illuminate the world but it's just from one direction. Like a spotlight from God. Behind a cluster of trees is a thickly clouded, dark, stormy blue sky but the sun shines like a spotlight on the face of the trees and there appears a vibrancy of color that cannot occur at any other time.

I still regret not taking my camera with me as I left my apartment because it was the perfect time to capture the colors and the light that only happens from this unique set of circumstances.

I captured it in my memory though.

That's absolutely beautiful.

I can't wait to be able to "walk out of my apartment."
