Driving to Long Island takes too long. I like being the navigator. Hotels with lots of stories are fun with elevators. Self-motivation to work out is hard to come by but I somehow find it every once-in-a-while. My little sister kicks butt at volleyball. She and I share the same pain. Why don't we just cut off our legs? Driving again can get bothersome. Crossword puzzles, yes! Thanks to my cousin for being a ton of fun. Ten miles in one hour: crap on traffic. Back roads through South Carolina make me think of movies and a meadow with lush green grass. The sun rises at the beach and we finally arrive. Wasting time until the world wakes up. Old friends are great to see. Lots of laughs. Oh, what to do with MTV? The sun, the waves, the wind, the sand, the beach. Volleyball on the beach leads to meeting new guys. Too bad they were drunk. Mmmmmmm, wine coolers. Heather ;) Yay for ice cream. Yay for eating way too much ice cream. Yay for eating wayyy too much food in general. Blond hair looks good with highlights. Reading Catch-22 on the beach, still have a lot to go. Hahahaha, swimming topless!!! My three favorite girls to walk with: at night or during the day. Singing Jewel songs in the dark I am humbled by her talent. I just try to sing along. Waking up at 9 every morning- can't waste the day. Driving a marathon in search of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. We found them. Almost hitting another car- geez I need to learn how to park. Perfect weather everyday. Perfect people. A few mood swings but it happens. A trip to the mall finds a wicked cute new dress!!!! And TCBY is my friend. A flip flop charm helps me never to forget. Leaving always sucks. Driving home again brings us by a childhood memory. Strange seeing it again. Finishing the trip with my dear father. Poor Mom in traffic going over the George Washington bridge. She hates not knowing where to go.
One more vacation over and done with and the sunshine and crashing waves are once again only in my memories. It was fun while it lasted. Tomorrow the bells ring again and reality crushes the bliss of vacation.
