The snow fell relentlessly upon the sleeping world.

It covered everything... save one.

The smallest bit of autumn escaped the cluthes of the blizzard.

A sole brown maple leaf
cartwheeling upon the white blanket of my driveway.

You can't catch everything, almighty snow storm. Not everything.

and then

Today, while in the hallway unbeaten by my feet this season, I glanced through the window towards the upcoming season. It looked so far away... about as far away as it really is right now. The snow was untouched. The surface lingering a scary two feet above the familiar black track. It concealed all pieces of the spring hope.

But this hope cannot be easily concealed! and by golly, I won't let it.

The snow will melt as the seasons change ...
